About Our Program
Come spend an inspiring 40 minutes with our amazing dogs and the people who count on them every day. In this online fundraiser, you’ll come to understand how a dog can change a life—and save a life. You’ll see, firsthand, the five different types of support our dogs offer. You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at how our dogs are trained and how our staff feels about the work they do.
You’ll cry a little. Laugh a little. And maybe you’ll decide to help us give away more dogs free of charge to the people who need them…creating a little extra happiness for all.
About Can Do Canines
Can Do Canines is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities by creating mutually beneficial partnerships with specially trained dogs.These individually trained dogs, sometimes adopted from animal shelters, are provided to their partners free of charge, thanks to donations from people like you.
Since 1989, Can Do Canines has graduated more than 750 assistance dog teams and currently provides five types of assistance dogs including:

- Mobility Assist Dogs
- Seizure Assist Dogs
- Diabetes Assist Dogs
- Autism Assist Dogs
